Dear readers,
This house leads to forever.
Those were the first words that went through my head when I signed stepped into the Reuban Murder House. Oh sorry. I am always storytelling. Hello, my name is Tommy Poe Kress. My mother was a big fan of Edgar Allan Poe, so of course, he worked his way into my name. Maybe his gothic mood worked its way into my mentality as well, because I feel like a Poe, like a Tommy Poe. Anyway, I just moved to Saeville. I needed a fresh start and a new book project, so I ended up here. My house is a dump, but you will never believe this. It is “The Reuban Murder House.” Fifteen years empty until yesterday, when yours truly signed the papers. The poor Reubans. Perfect characters for my new book, though. This place is perfect. Falling apart, wind howling through the walls, creaks all through the night. The tree where the rope held Walter Reuban on October 5th, 1988. I’d better not get ahead of myself. You can look up Saeville’s past for yourself if you want. It would make my book more interesting to read if you knew the backstory. If I get a chance to finish it…I couldn’t tell you why I have such a bad feeling about this one. Maybe it hits too close to home…Anyway, have a great day. Catch ya on the page.

(P.S. If you’re ever in Saeville, Cafe is a great place to eat. Yes, its name is Cafe. It is also the only restaurant in town, but I thought I’d give you the recommendation anyway. Two words: caramel rolls.)
